Gumandev Hanuman Mandir

Ujjain

The Ashta Chiranjeevis

The Gumandev Hanuman Mandir in Ujjain is an ancient temple believed to be around 4,000 years old. Mentioned in the Avanti Khanda as Kumarashwar Hanuman, it is one of the few temples connected to the Ashta Chiranjeevis. The idol was brought from Jagadia, Gujarat by the Vyas family, who have served the temple for generations. In 2004, the idol miraculously transformed into its Bal Swaroop (child form). Known as the destroyer of ego, Gumandev Hanuman is worshipped for relief from troubles, removal of negative energies, and fulfillment of wishes.
